Osteopathy, also known as “osteopathic medicine,” is a non-invasive therapy where manual techniques are applied to treat or assist individuals suffering from various conditions.
Osteopathic medicine promotes a philosophy focused on disease prevention, considering all factors that may affect a patient’s health from physical, emotional, and physiological perspectives.
I am an English-speaking Osteopath, fully qualified with a Master’s Degree from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (London). For over 10 years, I lived in the UK working as a manual therapist in London. In 2019, I moved permanently to Menorca (Spain) to open my own clinic.
WHO MAY BENEFIT FROM OSTEOPATHY?
ADULTS
During adulthood, different factors may cause discomfort: Postures at work, stress and lifestyle are some of the causes that can lead to injury.
ELDERLY PATIENTS
In these patients, common complaints are joint problems and other pains or discomforts that may come with age. Osteopathy offers special care for the elderly with a focus on maintaining and improving their quality of life.
SPORT INJURIES
Osteopathy is an effective therapy for athletic patients.
CHILDREN
During childhood, children experience many changes both physically and emotionally, which may affect their quality of life.
NEWBORNS
During pregnancy or at delivery, the babies may experience physical forces that affect them in the cranium, joints, and other structures.
PREGNANT AND POSTPARTUM WOMEN
During and after the pregnancy, women experience a huge hormonal change to adapt their bodies to the birth. These changes may cause pain and discomfort in different parts of the body.
